Barbara’s interest in jewelry making was first sparked at Frog Hollow when she took a class with Bruce Baker, who later became Barbara’s business partner in selling their handmade jewelry. She now single-handedly runs her own business. Barbara studied art at Bennington College and Cooper Union College before permanently moving from Baltimore to Vermont. She is currently the Education Coordinator for Frog Hollow Craft School.
Barbara’s jewelry designs are inspired by nature, which she enjoys experiencing while gardening, skiing, and hiking. Barbara uses a variety of techniques, switching between forging, piercing, forming, soldering, and buffing. Her signature leaf design is recast from an original, hand-designed mold.
