Jury Information
Thank you for your interest in Artisans Hand Craft Gallery. We always welcome the opportunity to look at new work for possible exhibition in our gallery.
Founded in 1978 on a shoestring budget by nineteen craftspeople, Artisans Hand carries the work of over 125 artisans from all over the state of Vermont and the region. Due to our desire for a broad and diverse array of crafts, we look for work of exceptional quality and a distinctive style.
All exhibitors are juried, and most are residents of Vermont. The majority of our artisans sell work with us on consignment, and our current commission is 50/50.
Our current jury process is that we have a pre-jury based on images. After that, you will be contacted to schedule a hands-on review of your work if the jury feels that your work might be a good fit for the gallery. If you are scheduled for the hands-on jury, we will share more details at that time.
The date for our next hands-on jury has yet to be determined. There are six slots for artisans for each jury. If you are interested in being considered for the jury, please either email images to ahmanager2@gmail.com or send us a link to your website or Etsy shop. Please also include some basic pricing information in your email. The jury will review your submission and be in touch to follow up.
We are currently accepting work in the following categories: Jewelry, fiber art (both wearable and household), glass, metal, stone, clay, wood, photography, handmade prints, commercially reproduced prints of original work, paper items, selected body care items, and handmade candles. Please note that at this time, wall space for two-dimensional art is very limited.
We strongly encourage those from traditionally underrepresented groups to apply to our jury.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at ahmanager2@gmail.com.
