Montpelier Art Walk is this Friday
Join Us for Art Walk!
Friday, December 6th
4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
During December's Montpelier Art Walk, we're featuring one of our newest artisans, Emanuel Soza-Foias. He is primarily self-taught and specializes in landscape and wildlife photography. Emanuel recently moved to Vermont and resides in Montpelier.
He has great respect for the animals he photographs. In his own words:
I typically spend several hours searching for species in their natural habitat. Once I find my target species, I ensure they are comfortable while I move closer to capture my photograph. This process can take anywhere from hours to months for my subjects to become comfortable enough for me to get my desired image.
We've got guidebooks (with one of Emanuel's photographs on the cover) in the gallery, so be sure to stop by to get yours!
We look forward to seeing you!
Warmly,
The Board and Staff at Artisans Hand
New Work!
We love when we discover new artisans whose work we can then share with our customers. Our fair state has a lot of creative talent! Below you can read about one of our newest exhibitors. We hope you love her work as much as we do!
We are over the moon (see what we did there?) to finally be carrying the work of Burlington jeweler Jennifer Kahn. Her work is influenced by a combination of artifacts and fashion.
For obvious reasons, we adore Jen's design sense. But there's more to her work than just what you see. She wants her business to have as little an impact on the world and its resources as she can.
For example, she works with recycled metals and recycles all of her scraps, uses local and US-based suppliers whenever possible and her boxes and tissue are made from 100% recycled material.
On top of all of that, she's a jeweler with a heart of gold - check out her philanthropic efforts.
We encourage you to come by the gallery and check out Jen's dynamic selection of earrings and necklaces. Any one of her pieces would make a lovely gift for that special someone - even you!
Downtown Montpelier Cocoa Crawl
On December 7, the day after Montpelier Art Walk, downtown will host its second annual Cocoa Crawl. Because, you know, chocolate.
Throughout the day, you'll discover musicians playing in toasty cafes where you can linger over a cup of cocoa or the beverage of your choice. But chocolate, right?
Businesses will also have chocolatey gifts, both of the eating and drinking kind) available for those who love the stuff (and that's pretty much everyone).
To get the full scoop on what's happening during the Cocoa Crawl, please visit the Montpelier Alive website.
