Montpelier Art Walk is this Friday!

During April's Montpelier Art Walk, we're featuring one of our newest artisans, Barre woodworker Kip Sabens. The event will take place on Friday, April 4th from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

During the event, he'll share his approach to working with wood and its grain patterns to create his unique pieces.

Kip’s work embraces the character of the wood with which he works. In his handmade bowls you can find tap holes and live edges which reveal the character of the tree.

We've got guidebooks in the gallery, so be sure to stop by to get yours.

We look forward to seeing you!

Warmly,
The Board and Staff at Artisans Hand

New Work!

Clay ornaments by Georgia Landau

We love it when one of our longtime exhibitors (and Artisans Hand co-founder) brings in a fresh batch of work - unboxing in fun! We hope you'll love our newest pieces as much as we do.

If you're a healthy eater, then you're going to appreciate what Montpelier ceramic artist Georgia Landau brought in. Her collection of fruit and vegetable clay ornaments is so adorable!

Georgia is all about anthropomorphizing all the things. Her ornaments have warm and friendly smiles that will melt your heart. And those eyes!

P.S. You just know those peas and carrot ornaments are going to be lifelong friends.

Come and check out these beauties for yourself the next time you're downtown. You'll find them in our produce aisle.

Georgia maintains a studio at Studio Place Arts in Barre, VT.

Downtown Montpelier Construction Update

Construction in downtown Montpelier is currently underway. We understand that things are progressing on schedule and the project should be completed on time. Yay!

As we've mentioned before, downtown businesses are open during construction and would love to have you come by.

We know that construction can get noisy, so we're giving out free pairs of earplugs in the gallery. Don't let a little noise stop you from supporting Montpelier businesses and shopping local!

Free parking is available for those in the know (that's you!). If you look at this map, you'll see that you can find it just off State Street in the Heney Lot behind Julio's Cantina. You can get the most up-to-date scoop on parking options and detours on the Montpelier Alive website.

We look forward to seeing you!
