In Vermont, April (snow) showers bring the Seven Daysies!
The nominations round for the 2025 SEVEN DAYSIES is currently underway and goes until April 28! 🌼🌼🌼
Every year, Seven Days (a Vermont-based, independent weekly newspaper) presents its guide of the best that Vermont has to offer, as chosen by its readers.
The top finalists in each category will advance to round #2 beginning May 29. In that round, Seven Days presents a ballot and readers vote for their favorites. The finalist with the most votes in each category wins!

Celebrate mud season in true Vermont style during Montpelier MudFest, April 25 - 27! From outdoor adventures to local craftsmanship, this three-day event embraces spring’s messiest, most fun traditions. Get ready to embrace the mud, adventure, and community spirit of Montpelier.
While you're in town for MudFest, take time to explore all that downtown Montpelier has to offer. From cozy cafés and craft cocktails to unique shops and local art, there’s something for everyone. And don’t miss the magic after dark - the city's iconic bridges will be glowing all weekend long.

Throughout the weekend, Artisans Hand is offering 10% off all work made by Vermont's best Mud Slingers (a.k.a. ceramic artists). This is a great time to get that mug you've had your eye on or perhaps a handmade bowl to stash away for an upcoming wedding.

Vermont Open Studio Weekend is happening Memorial Day Weekend (May 24 & 25) and it's never too early to start planning your tour. If you have a favorite artist, this is a great opportunity for you to get a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into the creative process.
Artisans Hand is an official information center for the event, so come by the gallery to pick up your tour guide (we have them at the register).
